Los Caños de Meca
The landscape mixes the blue of the coast with the greens of the natural park, La Breña y Marismas del Barbate, which surrounds the village, starting in the ocean and forming an impressive cliff, El Tajo, more than 100 metres high.
This area is second to none for the opportunity to participate in watersports, such as sailing, windsurfing, surfing, kite surfing, body boarding and diving at any time of year.
And for those who want some nightlife, in Los Caños and its surroundings there is a grand variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy a drink and have fun.
Natural Park of La Breña y Marismas del Barbate
The natural park is coastal with its cliffs, land and with its pine forest. It´s a perfect place for hiking and mountain biking.
You can visit ancient watch towers from the 17th and 18th centuries (Torre del Tajo & Torre de Meca) or the hermitage in San Ambrosio, with its Visigothic architecture.
Vejer de la Frontera
Vejer de la Frontera was awarded significant historic and artistic interest in 1976.
Situated on top of a hill, surrounded by an arab wall, spectacular views of the local area, cobbled streets and white houses all combine to make Vejer one of the most beautiful towns in Andalusia.
For horse lovers, nearby is the estate Dehesa de Montenmedio, Golf and Country Club, where the equestrian centre hosts international showjumping and dressage championships.
